When you are first creating your movie, you will be asked to select the photos and videos you want to be included.
Magisto supports all formats that are "natively" supported by iOS, Android and Windows OS:
Photo file types: JPG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, PNG
Video file types: 3GP, AVI, MOV, MP4, MPG, MTS, M2TS
You can upload and include media with the following methods:
Uploading media from your computer
- Click “Upload” to open the file manager for your computer.
- Locate and select the files you would like to upload to your computer and confirm.
- Repeat the process as is (if necessary) until all desired media has been uploaded.
- You can also add footage by dragging and dropping files from your computer.
- Once finished selecting all footage, click “Editing Style” to move on to the next step.
Selecting media from your My Media library (Previous Uploads) (For Professional and Business subscribers only)
- My Media is your personal media library, and includes all your previously used photos and videos.
- Click My Media to open the library.
- Locate and select the footage you wish to use in your new video.
- Click the X button or click outside of the My Media library to go back to the Add videos and photos.
- Repeat the process as is or use other sources until all desired footage has been selected.
- Once finished selecting all footage, click “Editing Style” to move on to the next step.
Selecting media from our Stock library (For Business subscribers only)
- To access our stock media database click “Stock library”.
- Use the dropdown menu to the right of the Search box to choose between “Photos” and “Videos”. Our stock library offers more than 3 million video clips and over 25 million photos!
- Enter any term into the box and click the magnifying glass to search the database.
- For videos, click the Play button on any result to preview it. For photos, just click the photo to see it in full resolution.
- If you would like to include a result in your movie, just click “add” and it will automatically be uploaded.
- Click the X button or click outside of the Stock library to go back to the Add videos and photos screen.
- Once finished selecting all footage, click “Editing Style” to move on to the next step.
Uploading media from Google Photos
- Click Google Photos to access your Google Photos library.
- Log into your Google Photos account and grant the required permissions to allow Magisto to access your files.
- Once access has been granted, you should now be able to see the photos and videos stored in your Google Photos account.
- Choose the footage you’d like to use in your video.
- Click the X button or click outside of the Google Photos library to go back to theAdd videos and photos screen.
- Once finished selecting all footage, click “Select Editing Style” to move on to the next step.
Uploading media from Google Drive
- Click the “Google Drive” link to open the login window.
- Log into your Google Drive account and “Allow” the required permissions to allow Magisto to access your files.
- Once access has been granted, you should now be able to see the photos and videos stored in your Google Drive.
- Choose the photos you’d like to use in your video.
- Click the X button or click outside of the Google Drive library to go back to the Add videos and photos Footage screen.
- Once finished selecting all footage, click “Select Editing Style” to move on to the next step.
After selecting at least one photo/video, you will notice the Media/Photos and Videos settings. Magisto's AI automatically chooses the best settings for your video, based on the content you uploaded. But as the user, you're in charge: If you don't like our choices, you can override them:
- Result length - Choose the maximum length of your video, based on the amount of footage you uploaded. For longer videos, you may need to add more footage. Choose "Automatic" if you want Magisto to determine your video's length, or uncheck the "Automatic" checkbox to manually set the length.
- Video pace - Set to Fast or Slow to determine how long each photo is shown in your video.
Once you're done with the Media stage, you can move forward to selecting an Editing Style
