Want to add more footage? Did you forget to add an important photo or video clip, or just found out that you didn't need a piece of footage already uploaded? While your video is in draft mode, you can easily add or remove footage from the Storyboard. Professional and Business subscribers can add footage from our extensive collection of stock footage as well!

1. Find and tap the draft you’d like to edit.

2. Tap the “Edit” button at the bottom left hand side. 

3. To add footage, tap on the “+” button at the bottom of your screen.

4. Tap on “Add Scene” in the dropdown menu.

5. Tap on “Photos & Videos” in the dropdown menu.

You can add media using the following methods:

1. Uploading from "My media"

You can filter your photos by tapping on the arrow beside “Recents” to upload photos from your camera roll. 

2. Selecting media from our stock library 

(Available for Professional and Business subscribers)

1. To access our stock media database tap on “Stock” in the menu bar.
2. Select between “Videos” or "Photos" () to the right of the Search box. Our stock library offers more than 3 million video clips and over 25 million photos!
3. Enter any term into the Search box to easily filter through the stock library.
4. Tap and hold on the video to preview it.
5. Similar to videos, tap and hold over photos to enlarge the photo.
6. If you would like to include a result in your video, just tap on the footage and it will automatically be added to your story. You can preview the footage you've chosen at the bottom of the screen.
7. Tap “Next” at the top right hand side to go to the next step.

3. Uploading media from Google Photos

1. Tap on “Google Photos” in the menu at the top of your screen.
2. Tap on “Connect your Google Photos account” to access your Google Photos library.
3. Log into your Google Photos account and grant the required permissions to allow Magisto to access your files.
4. Once access has been granted, you should be able to see the photos and videos stored in your Google Photos account.
5. Tap on the footage you would like to add and tap on “Next” to go to the next step.

* For files uploaded to Google Photos, there is a 'delay' time which if the clip has not been fully processed and is used will result in a lower quality image. Google Photos will require some time to fully process uploaded videos. Longer videos will take more time to completely process and analyze.

4. Selecting media from your Recent Uploads 

(Available for Premium, Professional and Business subscribers)

1. Uploads is your personal media library, and includes all your previously used photos and videos.
2. Tap on “Uploads” in the menu to open the library.
3. Locate and select the footage you wish to use in your new video.
4. You also have the ability to filter between "Type" of media (Photos or videos) and "Format" (Portrait, Landscape or Square).
5. Tap on the footage you would like to use.
6. You can preview the footage you've selected at the bottom of the screen.
7. Once finished selecting all footage, tap on “Next” to go to the next step.

*Note*

Magisto supports all formats that are “natively” supported by iOS, Android and Windows OS:

• Photo file types: JPG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, PNG
• Video file types: 3GP, AVI, MOV, MP4, MPG, MTS, M2TS

There are 3 ways to remove footage from your video:

 1. "Delete" feature

1. Tap the photo or video clip you would like to delete in your story.
2. Swipe the menu at the bottom of your screen all the way to the left until you can see the delete button. 
3. Tap on “Delete” to delete your image.

2. "Hide" feature

1. Tap the photo or video clip you would like to delete in your story.
2. Swipe the menu at the bottom of your screen all the way to the left until you can see the hide button. 
3. Tap on “Hide” to hide your image. 
4. You can choose to quickly reincorporate the footage by repeating the first 2 steps and tapping on “Show”.

3. The 3 dot menu:

1. Tap on the 3 dots at the top right hand side of the video clip or image you would like to delete or hide. 
2. Tap on hide or delete.

⚠️Note: A new privacy feature in iOS 14 enables users to give an App access to a limited number of photos, all photos or none. To change the permissions and give Magisto access to your library:

1. Open Settings
2. Scroll down and select Magisto
3. Select Photos
4. Select All Photos
